The Spencer County Octoberfest 5K & Kids Fun Run is an annual community event that kicks off a week of Octoberfest festivities while supporting a meaningful local cause. Join us on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, in historic downtown Taylorsville for an evening of fitness, fun, and community spirit. Whether you're an experienced runner, a casual walker, or participating with family and friends, this event welcomes all ages and abilities.

The Kids Fun Run begins at 6:15 PM, followed by the 5K Run/Walk at 6:30 PM. Proceeds from this year's race directly benefit the Spencer County Special Olympics, helping provide local athletes with opportunities to train, compete, and achieve their goals.

Participants are encouraged to register early to guarantee a race shirt and enjoy an exciting evening complete with awards, team competition, and the energy that makes Spencer County Octoberfest one of the community's favorite traditions.
